UK Wall Ties Ltd charge from £300+VAT for a wall tie survey based on a single mid-terrace house dependent on location. Once we have received your address and understand the requirements an estimate will be provided for the survey.
We believe it is imperative to provide an estimate which is individualised to a customer’s requirements for their building. Giving an estimate post-survey and a structural engineer’s report provides the ability to be accurate in estimating the required works.
UK Wall Ties Ltd aims to organise a survey within approximately 5 working days with a report provided within a further 5 days. A structural engineer survey and report follows the same approximate period. For works on site depending on complexity, a customer should expect to have these started within six weeks of instruction.
UK Wall Ties Ltd have a strict process of surveying and installation. The instruction of an independent structural engineer aims to ascertain and determine a structural diagnosis prior to a programme of investigation, repair or monitoring. UK Wall Ties Ltd will not undertake structural works without the prior review and survey of an Independent Structural Engineer. Instruction of a Structural Engineer would be made directly by the customer.
An approved building control is highly advised due to the structural nature of the works. If a client intends to not have a Building Control instructed, UK Wall Ties Ltd would request confirmation from the Local Authority Building Control that the works are not notifiable and may commence without their input. UK Wall Ties Ltd also notes Building Control may be required by an insurance company, lender or an interested party. Instruction of Building Control would be made directly by the customer.
